Joining Enquiries

We are always pleased to see new faces but are keen to make sure that people know what they are letting themselves in for before they join! Obviously we have a good time while making new friends but there is an emphasis on fundraising which we do throughout the year.

During the year we help at the Harpenden Carnival when all our members are asked to make cakes and rosta themselves on to help in the tea tent. We also provide help for the Welwyn and Luton 'Race for life' which take place in June and July. After the summer we are busy with preparations for our Gift Fair which takes place in Harpenden Public Hall in November. The gift fair is our biggest money maker for our chosen charities and requires a lot of enthusiastic programme selling in the weeks leading up to the fair and time and effort over the weekend it is on. At Xmas we assist Round Table with the Santa Float and house to house collections......

There is time for lots of social events, balls and pub evenings but if you think the above is something you would like to help us with, then we would like to meet you.
