What do we do for others?
We get involved with our community providing Christmas boxes to families in need, helping at The Race for Life in St Albans and Welwyn and we support Harpenden Round Table at their annual fundraising event - The Harpenden Carnival. We raise money for local and national appeals including In The Pink which raises awareness of breast cancer.
We are now in the process of organising this year's Christmas Gift & Craft Fair which will take place on the 20th and 21st November in the Harpenden Public Halls. This is our main fundraising event which we have been organising for the last 34 years.
Last year we raised an incredible £18,000. The charities that will benefit from this success are Harpenden Mencap, our local branch of the national charity who help people with learning disabilities, C.R.Y (Cardiac risk in the young), a charity who work with cardiologists and family doctors to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation who exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and St Albans Homestart suporting families in the local area.
